UMTS / UTRAN / RAN / RF Enginners    Telecommunications (UMTS RF and UTRAN) Test Engineers/Technicians About the Job Multinational company seeking UMTS RF engineer and UTRAN or RNC engineer candidates for current openings across North America. RF engineers must have solid optimization experience on live networks (at least 2 years UMTS ) and must be extremely familiar with the following: Business Objects, TCP, Asset, Planet EV or ATOLL. Ericsson OSS, Nokia OSS, and FOX NOX NEMO tools etc. Candidates will be expected to diagnose problems on UMTS networks, be able to run reports, interpret statistics, have a solid knowledge of the air interface, layer three messages, speech codec’s, channel allocations, spreading factors etc and general problem diagnostics. Ericsson OR Nokia RF experience a distinct plus but not completely necessary. Also looking for candidates with a minimum 2 years of experience working with WCDMA RAN Network elements (RNC, RXI, NodeB). Ability to perform analysis and investigation related to network and system performance. Good understanding of WRAN Architecture, Protocols & Procedures. Knowledge of 3G network architecture elements and protocols (TCP/IP, ATM, SS7, etc). Experience with these elements on Ericsson or Nokia systems is a requirement for UTRAN and RNC engineers.
